· 1981-1983 - Received real estate license in 1981 and began my career in real estate. Interest rates at that time were 17.5%. Can you imagine that. Starting in the biz at that time with record high interest rates?! Well, as you might imagine I didn't do much real estate for a year or two. It was pretty ugly. Fortunately I was able to hang in there while going to National University at the time and completing my business degree.
· 1983 - 1989 - Interest rates 'dropped' to 14% or so and things actually opened up somewhat. I was fortunate to find a niche that helped me launch into a successful career from that point. Beginning in 1983 I began working as an agent for Veteran Real Estate. I got real busy and quickly became a top 5 salesperson out of 25 or so offices nationwide. Not bad for a 20 something guy, but I have to say that that the experience of specializing in helping San Diego Veterans and Active duty personnel own their own property was a very rewarding and humbling experience. I also began purchasing investment property to help build my own personal portfolio of San Diego real estate.
· 1989 - 1993 - Opened a brand new Veteran Real Estate office. Obtained my brokers license and was broker and co-owner with my father on this venture. Helped hire, manage and train a few hundred agents. The office was one of the highest producing offices nationwide for Veteran Real Estate. We facilitated over 1.000 military home sales for individuals and families, helping them to purchase homes, condos and investment property in San Diego.
· 1993 - Present - Have been working as a real estate broker, working with buyers and sellers throughout San Diego County. My experience working with so many wonderful past clients has kept me busy coordinating the sales and purchases of their own properties as well as many of their referrals. I have also had the good fortune of working with many real estate investors who have purchased homes, condos and multi-family property to add to their investments. Besides continuing working with the military I am specializing in Coronado Real Estate and helping my clients buy and sell homes, condos and investment property in Coronado, CA and surrounding areas. I really enjoy helping my clients understand the market and giving them "World Class Service" as well as providing creative ways to save money and increase overall net worth.
NOTE: In addition, from 2002-2006 I personally bought, sold, managed and rehabbed over 40 multiple family units throughout San Diego County.
